Camdeed Studio Explained

Camdeed Studio Explained

Last week we introduced Camdeed Studio, our workspace that turns a wedding photographer's existing photos into animated clips and a ready-to-post reel.

This post is the longer walkthrough. What goes in, what comes out, what is free, and what Studio deliberately does not do.

The Idea in One Sentence

You upload the strongest photos from a delivered wedding, Studio animates the ones worth animating, and you export a roughly 40 second vertical reel that ends on your own logo.

What You Upload

Studio works from your selects, not the full take. A focused set of your best shots from one wedding gives the analysis something meaningful to rank.

Your photos remain your photos. The output is made from them and belongs with your brand, not ours.

The Analysis Stage

Every uploaded photo gets an individual verdict on how well it is likely to animate. Some photographs move beautifully. Others, often for technical or compositional reasons, do not.

The verdicts are honest to the point of being uncomfortable. Studio will tell you when a set is weak rather than let you spend on clips that will disappoint.

This all happens before any credits are involved.

Animating Clips

Each photo you approve becomes a short animated clip, generated with AI from your original frame. Clips are around three seconds long and intentionally silent. The music lives in the montage, not in individual clips.

You watch every real clip before it goes anywhere near your reel. If a clip's motion feels wrong, you can regenerate it, and technical failures are refunded automatically.

Arranging the Reel

Approved clips are arranged into a 9:16 montage in a cinematic style. A collage opening, full-bleed cuts, and an optional end card with your logo or handle.

The soundtrack comes from a licensed music library, so the reel is safe to post.

What Is Free and What Costs Credits

Uploading, analysis, and watermarked previews are free. Credits are spent only when you animate a clip, one credit per clip, and the final clean render of your reel is included.

Watermarks exist only on free previews. Paid exports carry no Camdeed branding anywhere.

Pricing for credit packs is being finalised with our pilot photographers.

What Studio Is Not

A few honest boundaries, because they are design decisions rather than gaps.

  • It is not a video editor. There is no timeline, and you cannot import your own footage.
  • Clips are short and silent by design. The montage carries the music.
  • It is not self-serve. Access is an invitation, granted personally while the pilot runs.

Who It Is For

Professional wedding photographers who want their existing work to perform in vertical video, without becoming videographers.

Some use the reels as a paid add-on for couples. Others feed their own social channels. Both work.

The pilot is open for requests at camdeed.com/studio. Tell us about your work and we will be in touch.
